Been a while since i last did an rp audition. But here it is! For goodtoby's Heir of Fairy tales rp, based on Disney's Descendants.
NAME: Cornel Annuvin
LIVE-ACTION: Luke Benward (Disney Channel’s Minutemen)
ANIMATED COUNTERPART: Yukine (Noragami)
NICKNAMES: The Demon Prince
AGE: 14
GENDER: male
PARENT(if student)/CHILD(if teacher with one): The Horned King
PARENT'S CRIMES(if parent is a villain): Kidnaping, Thievery, Torture, Necromancy, Dark Magic, Attempted Murder, Tyranny, and War Crimes
MEMBER GROUP: Villain
PERSONALITY: Like any child born and raised on the Isle of the Lost, Cornel is quite nasty. Being the son of the infamous Horned King, only adds to it. He has a vicious temper, one he has less control over than his father does, and he would not hesitate to hurt someone if they cross him. It’s even worse if his inner demon is let out, the beast that comes from being of the Horned King’s seed. But he’s not only a nasty little boy. Cornel is insecure, feeling inadequate compared to his Father’s horrid deeds, as well as feeling misplaced and hideous among all the pretty goody goody’s that reside in Auradon who seem to not be stained at all with their perfect little childhoods and loving parents. Those insecurities only want to make him lash out more.
But despite his hard to control anger, he is quite the calculating mastermind. He watches and waits for the right time to act when his temper doesn’t get the best of him and can figure out a person’s weak point to exploit. He has quite the sharp tongue, quick to speak out another person’s own fears and worries to make them weaker or use his words to turn a situation around in his favor. He often likes to think he would have down well in the politics of court had his father still had his kingdom. He happens to have a secret fear of the dark, one he does his best to make sure no one ever knows. What is less secret, but still hidden as well as he can, is his fear of his father.
Cornel has quite the curious nature, filled with questions and wonderment about the treasures of Auradon. And has a desire to see the world, so tired of being cooped up within the confines of his father’s prison.
RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENT/CHILD: Tense and strained, Cornel fears his father and secretly curses him for the monster that hides beneath his veins. For though the barrier around the Isle of the Lost prevents magic, The Horned King is still a terror all his own. As for his mother, well there’s no lost love there.
HISTORY: Cornel was born on the Isle of the Lost, sired by the Horned King and given birth to some low ranking wrench that he decided to have carry his heir. The woman was quick to leave once the young babe was able to be weaned off of his mother’s milk, and Cornel never saw her again. Or if he did, he had no idea it was her. Of course he inherited most of his appearance from her, lookin for the most part human. But his eyes were amber in color, and darkened when he grew angry or vicious. A trait he inherited from his infamous father. That was not all, though no horns upon his head, he did have rather demonic traits upon his back, hidden beneath his cloths. Skin of dark purple like bruised and rotting flesh and fleshy wings like a demon.
Being raised by the Horned King was a cold and harsh childhood. His father was a cold man, never a sign of affection but rather indifference or, if he was displeased with Cornel, cruelty. If the child spoke out of turn or stepped out of line, he would be beaten and the rest of his skin would match his back in color. And so, he worked hard to please the former king and try to be the ideal wicked prince.
While not the castle his father once ruled, their home was quite ominous and depressing. Cold stone with long cracks and hard floors. And every nook and cranny was filled with black cauldrons that were filled with cobwebs. His father was obsessed over his once greatest weapon and hoped he would somehow find it again. And so he would often send Cornel to hunt for cauldrons, either stealing them or buying them. The money they made by keeping pigs and selling their cut up meat. After the Horned King made sure none of them could see the future of course. {ran out of room, rest be on app]
